Welfare and Support
Where will the students stay?
Homestay
We recommend homestays as an excellent way to find out how British people live and, of course, practise the language.
We personally visit each home before we add them to our portfolio of homes available to our students. They will be provided with their own bedroom and home cooked meals as well as plenty of conversation.
Our homestays vary in distance from the school. Some are as close as 10 minutes walk and others are approximately 45 minutes by local transport. Instructions on how to get to and from the homestay will be given as soon as the place is booked for the student.
Breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal is all included in the price of your accommodation, you will only pay for your transport to and from the school.

Hotels and ‘Bed and Breakfasts’
There are a variety of options available from 5 Star hotels to budget ‘Bed and Breakfasts’, all within a short distance to the school. We are happy to arrange any accommodation to suit the students’ needs. If you would like us to do this there will be a £40.00 arrangement fee.
Welfare
All our staff at inlingua Cardiff do their very best to make the students comfortable within their new environment. So whatever their needs, we will be there to support them during their stay in Cardiff. We have a dedicated member of staff that they can phone at anytime should they have any problems during their time at inlingua.
On the students first day we will go through out policies and procedures with the students, covering things like our equal opportunities policy and our health and safety procedure. We will give the students a tour of the school and explain what facilities are in the immediate area.
Upon receipt of a passport photo, we will then issue them a Student Card. This may, in some cases, allow the student to receive a discount in some shops and cafes.
We have a "useful information booklet" that includes details such as how to travel around the UK, what to do to open a bank account and where to look for a job (for long term students). This will be given to the student upon arrival and it can also be viewed on our website on the 'How it works' page.
